rambling about cocaine

Ramblings. My first one was about freedom. This one is about cocaine. A simple graffiti, one word, written on a red wall in a regular neighborhood of Zagreb. Every time I see it, I wonder who wrote it, and more over why? Why write this word on a wall?

Is it a tribute to J.J. Cale and his lyrics?

If you want to hang out, you’ve gotta take her out, cocaine

If you want to get down, get down on the ground, cocaine

She don’t lie, she don’t lie, she don’t lie,
Cocaine

If you got that lose, you want to kick them blues, cocaine
When your day is done, and you want to ride on cocaine

She don’t lie, she don’t lie, she don’t lie,
Cocaine

If your day is gone, and you want to ride on, cocaine
Don’t forget this fact, you can’t get it back, cocaine

She don’t lie, she don’t lie, she don’t lie,
Cocaine

She don’t lie, she don’t lie, she don’t lie,
Cocaine

Or is it a tribute to something someone needs in order to get a nicer life?

Personally I don’t do drugs. Never did, never will. Though, as a Dutch I always get the question: “Do you have something (to smoke)?”

The other week, police stopped me for a regular check. After showing my ID, and answering the question where I came from, they asked me: “do I have anything illegal?”… No guys, I don’t have. Not my type of pleasure…

But still, the question remains, why write such a word on a wall?
